The next morning, we had brunch at the hotel with our family. BTW, that's my Uncle John on the left...not my dad...right Jenn!?

This is funny, at rehersal dinner, Jenn saw my uncle, and thought he was my dad and ran right up to him and gave him a big hug, and said "Mr. Fung, I haven't seen you in so long!!!" Uncle John replied, "Uh you got the Mr. Fung part correct..." She was so embarrassed when she realized he wasn't my dad!

Here's our beloved friends and photographers, Kam and his wife, Nicole - finally nice to have them IN FRONT of the camera, for a change!

We bumped into our friends Cory and Tabitha (who came up for our wedding from Calgary) at brunch, and invited them to join us.

At one point, Kelly came "swimming" towards us in scuba gear...and I was somewhat confused...

Kelly explained to us that her and Lon decided to come up with a very personalized gift- so they created the "Roz and Dan Adventure Fund", then got a bunch of friends to contribute portions of money to it. We got almost $1000!!!!! Basically we can use the fund on anything we want as long as: 1) We spend it on and adventure; 2) We do it together, and 3) We share our adventure stories with friends. I was so touched that I began to get very emotional!!

A moment of contrast emotions! Ok...not really, because we were both so overjoyed, but mine was to the extreme!!!!

I was crying so much from feeling the love, that I had to break out the napkin!!!

LOOK at what LON made us, using his extremely talented skills in spray painting!!! He painted a portrait of a real life moment of mine and Dan's engagement!!!!

There was also another very emotional moment at the end of the gift opening...in which our good friend Kelly captured. Please click here to see it for yourself!!!!

Us with Jenn, baby Tyler, and Miche!

Our rings! Aren't they beautiful!?

Take a pic before everyone leaves!

Fung/Hague family!

Here's Dan and I, in our temporary "new" room, at my parents' house. Dan moved in with us b/c we're waiting for our condo to be finished being built. Anyways, here we are, after counting all the bling we got from our wedding (thanks everyone!!!!) and we really wanted to throw all the bills in the air (mostly b/c we've never had this much cash! and really, who doesn't want to do this!?) - it was fun...until we thought we lost two $20 bills. We found them later...when I plopped down on the bed and looked up...and found them lying there on the curtain rod! HA!

Mark (left end) sent us a CD with photos from Dan's stag and our wedding. I wanted to add the next 2 photos from Dan's stag here b/c they are way too awesome to not post. Thanks Mark!

If you recall, Lon had an awesome idea of making t-shirts for one another, where one person had to draw the owner of the shirt, and give it back to the owner to wear.

THE CANADIAN DEATH RACE TRIP

August long weekend...the weekend we've been waiting and training hard for, for about 3 months.

Team members of "DIBS ON LAST PLACE" (in order of relay run): Asia, Joe, Roz, Dan and Sean.

24 hours to finish 125 km. Some people are crazy hardcore and do it as soloists (ACK!).

For more details, check out the Canadian Death Race site.

This is Grande Cache. Mountains. Houses. Stop sign. Seriously...that's it. Ok, fine...and THE MALL and 2 bars, but one's always dead and the other one's filled with sketchy townies. Oh, ok...yes there's more...there's lots of motels and hotels for the truckers that pass by. But really...that's all.

We camped the first night on a school ground (all campsites were taken). Here's Sean setting up the tarp in only a manner that Sean knows. Dan's carb loading on cereal. Poor Patricia, who's from Peru (soon will be moving to Canada for good to live with Joe - they are getting married in December in Peru!) was FREEZING!!!!

Proof of how cold it is (2 degrees during the night)- Brrr!!! Dan and Joe trying to make hot chocolate- only Joe forgot to bring the cocoa!

Dan thinks this is the founder of the Death Race.

24 hours to finish the race...or else...

5 minutes into the race

Joe's pumping and ready to go! Waiting for Asia to finish the first leg, which she completed in about 2 hours. Good stuff!

Champion Joe- ready to GO! (I know...cheesy rhyme...Dan's rubbing off on me!) hehehe

There goes Joe! GO JOE GO! His lag was 27K, up and down. He finished it in pretty much exactly 4 hours...awesome work, Joe! WHOOOT!

These were the first 2 victims of the death race...

Isn't this the CUTEST COUPLE picture EVER!?!?!? We should enter this pic in some sorta contest for that!

We were waiting eating lunch while for Joe to finish running (and I was next in line to run), when this dude passed by us in the restaurant. Dan actually ran with him on his lag for about 20 minutes (all uphill). His paint was definitely sweating off.

Here's me freakin' out...well no, actually my adrenaline was pumping when this pic was taken. Dan is helping me by making sure I have my backpack adjusted, the timer and coin in the right places before I take off. I had the 2nd easiest lag, but most technically difficult; meaning there were ALOT of rocks so I had to really watch my footing- or else I could have hurt my ankles. I finished my lag in about 2 hours, 20 minutes - which is 10 minutes better than what I thought I would do. I actually got lost in the first 15 minutes (don't ask me how) and wasted some time and energy there. I also slipped on some rocks 3/4 of the way while running up a creek, and managed to get my knees all bloody. I took picture of that! All in all, it was an amazing run and I was very well prepared training wise for it! YAY!

While Dan was running, Sean and I took a nap, and Joe and Pat went to the hotel's restaurant. Check out the massive size of his dinner!!!! talk about the ultra carb-loading meal!

We went to the next waiting site, where we would meet up with Dan, and Sean would run the final lag. Here are death racers and family members waiting for the 4th laggers to show up.

Sean and Patty waiting ...it's Sean's turn to run next...even though he doesn't look like it in the photo, he was pretty pumped at this point.

Me and Patty waiting for Daniel...it's getting chillier...but isn't the sunset amazing!?!??!

Here comes Daniel!!!! YAY!!!! I thought he would run the race in 6 hours, but he proved himself to be hardcore, and finished his 38k (most difficult lag because of the over 3000ft elevation in the first 2-3 hours) in 5 hours . WHOOHOOO!!! That's my baby! Dan had a knee injury and persevered the whole way. He said he felt the pain especially in the last 15K. What a trooper!

There goes Sean, starting out his 23K lag - which is completely in the dark (since it's nighttime). Sean said that he could only see 3 feet in front of him the whole time, and half the time he didn't know if he was going in the right direction, since the arrows aren't glow-in-the-dark. By the way, Sean literally just came back from being in Europe for a month - he had NO training (he went for ONE run the whole time he was on vacation) and drank ALOT of beer. Considering this, Sean is one tough dude! Way to go, Sean!!!!

While Sean was running, the rest of us went back to our hotel at the Best Western. Poor Dan got a rash on his back from his camelback.

To top it off...as if the back rash wasn't enough, D got these nasty giant blisters...ewwwwwww! You're lucky I'm not posting the pix of when they got yellow and pusy!!! EW!

Dan promised Sean that he would meet him 1K from the finish line and hand him a beer...well, here's the final moments...

Dan, Joe and I ran in the last few meters with Sean to the finish line

RUN, SEAN, RUN!!!! Almost there!!!!! I LOve this action picture! Talk about capturing the moment of victory!!!!

YAY!!!!!! Sean finished his lag (the last one) in just under 3 hours...making our team finish for a total time at 16 hours, 35 minutes and 19 seconds ! WHOOT!!!!

Dibs on last place...NOT!!!!

While Sean was running his lag, he was psyched out by signs that would say "Are you afraid of the dark?" and "Only 5K until a cheeseburger" - which made him totally crave cheeseburgers the rest of the way...and the only place opened that late was this bar. Dan and Sean went inside to order them, and immediately, Dan was approached by drug dealers asking if he wants "sniff". Sketchy crowd! Anyways, Sean was quite a happy man when he got his burgers, and I also asked him to show off his sexy short shorts (yes, quite a random pic, that's what I love about it!) Sean, enjoy this one!!! XOXO

Sunday morning was a chill day...we walked- uh, more like stumbled- to a small beach in Grande Cache (seriously, there is NOTHING else to do there!) - thank god it was a nice day!!! Let's take a closer look to see what Sean's carrying in that cooler, shall we?

Ahhh...big surprise!!!

Need one of these awesome cheese group shots! Thanks to Sean's handy palm size camera tripod...we could capture this lovely Kodak moment!

Uh...I'm not sure what Dan is doing here...oh yeah! He was bugging Patty and pretending he was going to throw her into the water. She was freakin' out! Too cute!!!

This is the awesome motel room Joe, Patty, Dan and I stayed in on Sunday night. It was a dump, but it was certainly cheaper than the $220/night stay at Best Western. The motel wasn't as bad as it looked on the outside (TRASH)! And it was ran by this Oriental family that seemed to not really know how to run a motel...when we went to check in, it took them awhile to understand what we wanted (uh...a room! DUH!)

On Sunday evening, we went to a bar (well, one of two bars in Grande Cache) to party it up. It was also both mine and Patty's bday! I turned 25 and she turned 27. YAY for us! Omg- I'm 25!!!!!

Patty and I each got $10 drink vouchers, but what was *really* awesome were these *sweet* tshirts the bar gave us. Whoot! They were so awesome, we left them there!

Snap happy couple!
