3d=When did Keilor road wash away? I went for a run yesterday and a 50 meter stretch of the road is half way down the river bank. It's pretty awesome! I'll get some pics soon. Yeah, I got a game misconduct for slashing a guy who, after the play was over, gave me a strong shove. I went to chop at his arm, he raised his stick, and my stick glanced off and hit him in the head (very lightly though). On the other hand, one of my teammates got into a serious fight in our game tonight. It'll cost him $50 and 3 games. I had 3 awesome days in Jasper Park Lodge...all paid for by my company. During the day, we had some pretty heavy workshops on how we can improve as a company, but at night, it was party time! Free drinks for everyone! I capped it off with a great run around Lac Beauvert where I almost ran into a herd of Mountain Sheep. I stopped as we stared at eachother for a brief minute, then a small dog that was with the people behind me darted out and scattered the whole flock. PS. sorry for not posting in a while, but mix some holidays with a dash of flooded basement and a pinch of broken internet modems and you get very little time to update. 3d out

[R-girl] This long weekend, D and I went up to visit his parents on Vancouver Island - Qualicum Beach to be exact. We flew to Vancouver Friday morning (at 6AM- ugh!), bussed it downtown and did some shopping and toured Stanley Park. Then late afternoon, we took the ferry out to Nanaimo where Dan's parents, Bill and Rose Marie, picked us up. Q Beach is located 1/2 hour away from Nanaimo.

I have to say, we were very disappointed in the weather. Rose Marie always rubs it in our noses that the weather there is so nice and warm, and when we got there, it was nothing but rainy and cold (well, cold considering I only bought one pair of pants and the rest were shorts). I ended up wearing my jeans all weekend! Boo! I also only brought along one long sleeve shirt and a light jacket. Good thing I bought another long sleeved shirt in Vancouver (which I ended up wearing most of the time I was up there).

Despite the disappointing weather, D and I made the most out of it. Over the 4 days, we shopped, toured, watched hockey playoffs at the lounge in the hotel opposite Bill and Rose Marie's place, played a game of Scrabble with D's parents, mini-golfed, swam at an indoor pool of course, and went running around the neighbourhood (which was the only time I wore shorts).

Thanks for the wonderful hospitality, Bill and Rose Marie. You have a beautiful place! Looking forward to hopefully coming out this summer! :)

YAY!!!! OILERS WON GAME 3 vs. DALLAS STARS! Whoohoo! It was a pretty exciting game, and alot different than the previous game, which included roughly 96 minutes total in penalties due to them being emotionally out of hand! The game today was a lot more calm and Oilers had lots of good opportunities to score. Dvorak scored the winning goal and it was the sweetest goal I've seen in awhile. As well, Salo made some really amazing saves!

In other hockey news, Dan's ball hockey team won tonight as well. It was a close game, the score was 2-1. Highlights: Adam scored the first goal (way to go, Adam!), Dan got kicked out of the game during the 2nd half for misconduct. I'll let him explain it on here when he has a chance (let's see if he does type!).

Friday, April 4
Ok...going back exactly a week...last Friday was Jenelle's 19th birthday - awww, yes she's just a baby! Jenelle invited a small party to the Sicilian Pasta House restaurant. I've never been there before, but the food was pretty good, however, not as good as I thought it would be. Dan agreed. He said the food at the location downtown was better than where we went (south side). It was fun because Jenelle decided to make it a up dress up event, so the guys wore suits and the girls wore skirts/dresses. Sean and Lon decided to wear Metallica shirts under their suit jacket. It was awesome! Check out the pictures from the restaurant and Sean and Lon's suits.

Then we headed back to the LADS' house to get ready for the bar (drink), surprise Jenelle with a cake Dan and I made the night before at my place. HA HA, we have quite the story for that too....Dan and I used cake mix and we baked it in a non-stick pan. My mom asked us to take the cake out of the pan after it was baked, and to place it onto another pan that she didn't care about if it got all scratched up by a knife. So we loosened up the cake with a spatula, or we thought we did anyways. The cake ended up falling apart like puzzle pieces, so we stuck them back together and glued it back with icing. So the cake you actually see is upsidedown and crumbling, but no one could tell! And hey, it tasted pretty good too! Here's pictures of the cake, Jenelle opening the present and us killing time before heading out to O Byrne's Irish Pub.

Jenelle had a number wrote on her arms (at first - which then eventually trailed off to other body parts because she ran out of room!!) every time she had a drink. She had 13 drinks, then vomited, and had 8 more drinks after that. She was sooo hurting the next day. Here's the photos from The Bar.

[Roz] I received this in email a couple days ago, and I liked the analogy.

[Roz--OF COURSE! Does Dan ever write?] Hey all, I will update the site soon, but I've been pretty busy writing a research proposal paper that's due on Monday. I'm sure you guys are all busy studying for finals too! I do have some entries to update and pictures from the weekend to display, which I will probably do sometime this week (hopefully).

Here's a link for some of those who need a study break because your brains are just turning to mush and you need some stupid fun.

Good Luck on finals, everyone!

Come back soon to check out the new updates!

Dan and I played a game of Scrabble tonight...and *sigh*, he whooped my ass right from the get-go. Dan got a stunning 18 points on his first word, which, interestingly enough, was orgasm. He just kept racking up the points from there, while I was stuck with the crappy letters and practically setting him up for good spots (e.g., double/triple word scores) because I had no choice (really!)
Final scores: Dan: 109 vs. Roz: 52 (boooo!)
