Dan and I pointing out each other's numbers for the "find a mate by number" game they had at the bar. We obviously did it for fun, and I used it to my advantage to write cute notes to my friends. The way it works is if someone finds someone else attractive, they can write a note to that person (by addressing the number they are wearing) and put it in a mailbox for them to pick up anytime during the night. Quite fun, especially if you're single!
